He explained that these predecessors are often plagued by a lot of harsh tinny distortion. Another limitation is that the 'octave sweet spots' can only be played in the middle of the guitar neck.
"After nearly 40 years, the genuine Hendrix sound on his old records has never been fully duplicated," Nelson said.
